Frequently asked
Where is my grove's data stored?
Everything you enter — palms, spathes, pollen batches and harvest weights — is kept only on your own iPhone or iPad. Dokkar has no account and no server, so there is nothing to sync and nothing we can see on our end.
I switched phones. How do I bring my grove with me?
Restore your new device from the same iCloud or iTunes backup that included your old phone, and Dokkar's data comes back with it. Because the app keeps no copy of your data anywhere else, a fresh install without a backup starts with an empty grove.
Why does Dokkar ask for the camera or my photos?
The camera lets you photograph a palm directly from its card so you can tell it apart at a glance. The photo picker lets you attach a picture you already have instead. Dokkar only touches either one when you tap to add a photo, and it only ever uses the single photo you take or choose.
Why am I not getting the morning reminder?
Open Settings inside Dokkar and check that the morning reminder is turned on and that a time is set, then confirm notifications are allowed for Dokkar in your device's Settings app under Notifications.
Can I get my records back if I delete the app?
Deleting Dokkar removes its data unless a backup exists. Before uninstalling, make sure your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer so the grove can be restored later.
Does Dokkar diagnose pests, disease, or recommend chemicals?
No. Dokkar is a logbook for pollination and harvest only. For plant health questions, your local agricultural extension office is the right place to ask.
